MATT LOGAN
Producer & Director

A true multihyphenate, Matt Logan’s astounding career has included turns as an actor, director, designer, costumer and illustrator. A Nashville native, it’s only fitting that his professional directorial debut was made on the TPAC stage when he was just 19 years old. His career eventually led him to New York, where he worked on Broadway in costuming and casting for shows ranging from The Lion King to Jersey Boys. During that time, he also gained national recognition as an illustrator and caricature artist, working with clients that included Hugh Jackman, Dolly Parton and Bernadette Peters. https://www.instagram.com/theofficialmattlogan/

SINCE 2015, A. S. Peterson has developed original and re-imagined works of theatre in partnership with Matt Logan. Each of their productions have received glowing reviews from audiences and critics alike.

NOW, IN 2024, and in partnership with Matt Logan Productions, the Rabbit Room is bringing Charles Dickens’s beloved ghost story, A Christmas Carol, to life with an all new adaptation written by A. S. Peterson and developed in the Nashville theatre community.

For years I have heard theatre defined as “Telling the truth under imaginary circumstances,” and THE HIDING PLACE is one of the finest examples I have encountered.
— Broadway World

FRANKENSTEIN

Directed with flair by Matt Logan, Peterson’s new take on Shelley’s time-honored classic is brought to life thanks to the vivid performances of Logan’s superb cast in a production that fairly leaps off the printed page of the script to a stage awash in all manner of stageworthy magic that ensures the rapt attention of every audience member.

THE BATTLE OF FRANKLIN

A. S. Peterson centers the piece around Franklin’s landmark Carter House, including young Theodrick ‘Tod’ Carter, his family and the slaves who lived and worked on their farm. But Peterson gives us much to consider beyond stark historical facts, reminding us that, too often, we are ‘strangers together in the same house, unseeing, unknowing, unloving.’ A true poet, Peterson’s language is rich with imagery.
